Empowering Educators: Workshop on Generative AI in Academia Held at UET Lahore
The Faculty Development Program, in collaboration with KICS, successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Generative Artificial Intelligence in Research, Teaching, and Professional Development” on May 8, 2025, at the UET Main Auditorium Complex. The session brought together faculty members from various departments to explore the powerful impact of Generative AI on academia, from innovative teaching strategies to enhanced research methodologies.
The honorable Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, graced the occasion and emphasized the critical importance of integrating AI into higher education. He congratulated Prof. Dr. Aneela Anwar, Incharge Faculty Development Program UET, Lahore, and Prof. Dr. Waqar, Director KICS, for organizing this impactful workshop. He highlighted that all faculty members at UET should be equipped with the latest tools and technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving academic landscape.
He also expressed his appreciation for Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh for conducting the workshop with exceptional clarity and depth.
